OUR STORY

We opened our doors in 2009 as a for-profit brand studio, partnering with apparel and sport companies looking to grow as lifestyle brands in competitive global markets.

As we grew, we experimented with a few different names, searching for our own identity in a crowded brand consulting space.

But one thing never changed — our commitment to helping brands strategically position, market, and activate their identities.

From day one, we’ve believed that brands must be honest and transparent with their audiences to build meaningful, two-way relationships rooted in real value.

In 2020, we decided it was time to do more. We wanted our work to actively contribute to the wellbeing of our planet and society.

After learning about Benefit Corporation and B Corp structures, we saw our path forward — renaming our studio one last time to MAWKO, and publicly committing to balance financial success with environmental and social impact.

Today, we continue to collaborate with clients across all aspects of strategy, brand management, and marketing — working alongside internal teams or leading projects from concept to activation.

Our mission remains the same: to engage audiences, drive innovation, grow commercial value, and ensure that sustainability is embedded in both business plans and brand ethos.
