Kevin Korn is the founder and Chief Brand Officer of MAWKO, a global brand strategy studio focused on aligning purpose with business objectives.
In addition to his work with well known global lifestyle brands that includes Polo Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, and Abercrombie & Fitch, Kevin’s work in the global sport sector is what drives his passion. He has developed a large sport network from his work with Under Armour, Adidas Group, Major League Soccer, and US Soccer as well as his education, research, and consulting abroad.
Additionally, Kevin works with and advises nonprofit organizations, NGOs, and charitable foundations primarily focused on two key areas: youth athlete development and the sustainability of our oceans.
Kevin founded the Sustainable Sport Foundation, a non-profit youth sports advisory that empowers youth athletes with skills for life, play, and the future; and launched the Ocean Plastic Series, a brand collaborative that supports the global effort to keep our oceans clean + plastic-free.
Both initiatives are supported by MAWKO, aligning with the studio’s purpose to develop sustainable brands.
Kevin currently serves as Strategic Advisor for CSPRO Academy, a football academy dedicated to empowering youth from Zimbabwe’s ghettos through training, education, community outreach, and wellness learning. And, he served as SA for SandSI (Sport and Sustainability International), a Swiss based nonprofit seeking to accelerate sustainability in and through international sport.
Prior to launching his brand studio in 2009, Kevin spent a decade building brand identities, commercial growth, and strategic marketing for globals brands based in NYC. He has traveled to over 26 countries during his 25 year career which has shaped the ‘think global act local’ perspective he brings to the brand + strategy work we build at MAWKO.
Kevin’s formal education includes a BA in Communications and AAS in Design; postgraduate certifications in Brand & Business Strategy, Disruptive Strategy, Sustainable Business Management & Strategy, Organizational Leadership, Global Football Marketing and Management; and an international masters in Sports Marketing & Sponsorship.
Kevin is engaged for speaking engagements, collaborative research, and mentor initiatives that focus on creating solutions for pressing social + environmental challenges across the global sport sector.
